Kyoto Nishiki Market Hours and Food

Nishiki Market

Arrived in Kyoto late at night

My first stop in Kyoto was Nishiki Market.

I really have to start from here!

It wasn’t decided, but it just so happened

Because our accommodation was right in front of Nishiki Market

I ended up going there naturally

It was a great choice with a wide variety of food.

From Karasuma or Kyoto Kawaramachi Station

Just get off and move

(The accommodation I stayed in was right in front of Nishiki Market

I left a link at the very bottom :))

business hours

Usually open from 9:30 to 10:00

Closed from 6pm to 8pm

(Some places close as early as 4pm)

A Kyoto market with 400 years of history

There are many people who always stop by the local market when they travel.

If you come to Kyoto, you should stop by here.

There are various foods

There are souvenir shops everywhere.

It’s good to hear it once

However, I felt that the prices at Nishiki Market were a bit high.

I said it was because it was a market!

Prices are more expensive than you think

And rather than a place where you can sit down and eat comfortably,

Because it’s a market, most of the food is takeout .

A truly diverse range of seafood

There are also small octopus skewers?

They also grill seafood right on the spot.

Sometimes, when I go there, I come across sake shops.

You can also enjoy sake lightly

Kyoto Nishiki Market

I’m pregnant right now, so I’m trying to stay away from it as much as possible.

Seafood… seafood over meat

As someone I like much more

I was so excited as soon as I entered Nishiki Market.

There are so many things I want to eat

Hearing this, I went with my group to eat various foods.

You can also enjoy it by buying just one and sharing it.

It seems like a good method

As shown in the picture above, to suit my taste

I could also see places where they cook

Wow – I can’t forget sushi either

The price is trembling

800 yen each

It was a mouthwatering menu, but I just had a blurry look on my face.

I had no choice but to pass by.

No matter what, it’s too much..

And sometimes, if you look closely, you’ll see king takoyaki restaurants.

(Koreans usually eat it a lot too)

If you like it, you might want to give it a listen

Mostly takeout though

Sometimes there are standing seats like this

There are also shops

Even this will be full if you go a little late.

As shown in the picture, in our country too

A space that feels like a street food stall you see occasionally?

Order the menu you want to eat at that table

You can eat it

And as you walk around

Crab meat? I see a lot of this.

What we said among ourselves

I thought it might just be crab meat haha

Crab meat 400 yen, hmm ‘-‘

Nishiki Market is an ambiguous place when it comes to cost-effectiveness.

And beer was also on sale.

Because it is just the right amount to enjoy even at an early hour

Even people who can’t drink alcohol seemed to enjoy it.

Not only food, but also like this

They also sell cute accessories.

These are spoon rests, they’re so cute

I also used chopsticks that were rattling

The details are alive

While traveling in Osaka and Kyoto

I’ve never seen chopsticks as cute as those at Nishiki Market.

Looks good as a gift or souvenir

If you stop by here, you should buy one

I think it will be okay

And the store where we had a light meal

I don’t know the store name

First, I just took a picture of the sign.

If you look closely at the various skewers, you can see this

You can also find sandwich-type foods.

The eel omelet we ordered

The color came out a bit cloudy

It’s an egg roll with well-seasoned eel.

We all come and it’s so delicious

The menu I ate while doing it

Egg dishes are a must-have when talking about Japan.

Inside the soft, sweet egg

Delicious eel

Recommended by someone who has tried it!

And as I came out I saw

There was also something like an egg roll burger.

This is a Japanese-style omelet that you can trust and eat.

There will be no failure, right?

I still don’t quite understand the system here.

But in conclusion, somehow

I ordered well and was able to sit inside and eat.

And as I was coming out I met

Snoopy bread

There are also desserts like this

Of course, if you don’t like seafood

You may be reluctant to visit Nishiki Market itself, but

While tasting these desserts

You can spend time there too 🙂

Overall Review

Kyoto’s Nishiki Market, a long-standing tradition

I’ve organized the business hours and food.

There was a lot of food to enjoy, but

The cost-effectiveness is not that good

(If you keep looking at the types, they are all similar)

However, if you are planning to visit a nearby tourist attraction anyway,

Stop by and take a look

I recommend tasting little by little anything that looks delicious.

If you think you’ll fill your stomach, you’ll end up empty –
